The Golden Balloon Ram is a selectively bred variety of the German Blue Ram, known for its unique balloon-shaped body and vibrant golden coloration. They have a relatively small size, reaching about 5cm, and an average lifespan of 3-4 years. These peaceful cichlids are well-suited for community tanks and prefer slightly acidic to neutral water with a moderate temperature range of 78°F to 85°F (25°C to 29°C). They are relatively easy to care for, thriving on a diet of pellets, flakes, and frozen foods.
