Marbled scorpions are small, non-aggressive scorpions native to Australia, belonging to the genus Lychas and species Lychas marmoreus or Lychas variatus. They are easily identified by their brown-yellow, marbled appearance and are often found in urban areas under stones, leaf litter, and bark. While their sting is mildly venomous, causing pain and inflammation similar to a bee sting, they are not considered dangerous to humans.
